Position: General Manager of Engineering and Operations (GM)
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Working closely with and reporting to the CEO, the GM will be responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of the Block 9 Joint Venture in the Republic of Yemen and provision of support to both the Calgary and Yemen offices and all Company representatives. The GM will act as Deputy CEO and will play a key role in strategic planning and in the future development and growth of the organization. This is a Resident Position.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
The GM will be a dynamic leader and mentor, an accomplished team builder, and will be an active participant in the formulation and implementation of strategic and business plans. The GM will be responsible for facilitating the growth and success of Calvalley’s Block 9 Joint Venture.

- Proven team leadership skills and a high level of cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness, integrity and cross-cultural qualities.
- Ability to manage finances within an established budget.
- Demonstrated achievements in the energy sector relevant to Calvalley’s current project in Yemen.
